For a Boeringer lathe bed with utilization of the maximum working area for the case of a maximum-sized workpiece. In case of restricted working room, we offer an interesting quill actuation. The Steady Rest type 3/5 is characterized by very good operability. The workpiece can be changed quickly by manual side-swinging of the top suspended in a crane. Therefore this is a Steady Rest for operations which cannot afford any wasted setup time. We currently build this Steady Rest type from 1200 mm to 350 mm, according to quill and running rollers, where 10 tons is not a rarity.
